GRACE PERRY

 Founder and Director of CTWB

I founded Colour the World Better because I believe access to education should never be a privilege determined by circumstance. My work is driven by a commitment to making educational opportunities more accessible, while building an initiative that is practical in its delivery, sustainable in its approach and ambitious in its potential. I see CTWB as a long-term undertaking: one that brings together education, international collaboration and purposeful partnerships to create opportunities for young people to shape their own futures.

Opportunity by design

Educational initiatives should be practical, adaptable and accessible: not dependent on a young person’s circumstances or a school’s ability to pay.

Built to last

Good intentions matter, but delivery matters too. CTWB is focused on developing approaches that can be sustained, strengthened and shared responsibly.

Progress together

Lasting change is rarely achieved alone. Schools, educators and purpose-aligned partners each have a role in widening access to learning.

women of the future finalist

In 2026, I was named a finalist in the Women of the Future Awards, marking an important milestone in my journey as a founder and advocate for educational opportunity and international collaboration.

My ambitions extend beyond programme development. I am particularly interested in the intersection of education, international law and human rights, including how international frameworks shape children's access to education across different countries and communities. I hope to contribute to these conversations at an international level, including through engagement with the United Nations and other global institutions, advocating for stronger recognition of education as a fundamental right and for policies that translate international commitments into meaningful change for children.

Through Colour the World Better, I aim to connect this wider vision with practical action: building cross-border partnerships, creating opportunities for children to learn and express themselves, and demonstrating how education can foster a deeper sense of shared humanity.
